Democracy doesn't help

TSO Letter to the Editor

If you are sick, democracy doesn't help.
If you are out of a job, democracy doesn't help
If your school is destroyed, democracy doesn't help
If you are out of water, democracy doesn't help.
Real democracy is a good meal, school, go to the movies, have a house, have a car, being healthy and not having heavily armed troops around the streets. Iraqis under the American domination and invasion don't have any of that.
Iraq is no safer now than right after the US invasion and the results of the so-called democratic elections have not resulted in the creation of a government. It seems no evolution is likely to take place anytime soon.
Maybe after this Iraq fiasco, and trillions of dollars wasted, America will return "back to the good ol'days" and stay out of Old World problems. It took Europe 500 years to finally realize war ultimately achieves nothing, so I doubt America will change its mind in the near future.
